The eLearning Guild has just released it’s latest complimentary eBook, 131 Tips on Graphics and Animations for eLearning.
Here is My Tip
I use graphics to accomplish two things: 1) communicate or illustrate a concept, and 2) delight and engage the learner. Therefore, when I select graphics, I start by identifying the key information or points I want the learner to take away. Then I select graphics that represent one or more of my bullet points. I try to create my story with pictures only. Then I show it to a colleague and ask him or her to tell me what the pictures describe. This helps me determine the words needed to complete the story, if I need words at all.
